Organic Trade and Investments promotes small-scale farmers and sustainable organic farming in Africa to protect biodiversity. Our Story It all started in 2012 when the Managing Director of OTI decided to change her life around by challenging herself even further. She was then working as a Local Counselor for Ghana and the acting Marketing Manager for an international vegetable oil manufacturer. She saw the benefit of establishing a factory in Ghana and creating jobs but her international partner, whose focus was only on import trade did not agree with her. Esthy then had to move on and follow her path. It is not until October 2015 that she finally got the opportunity to live her dream; a client from Egypt had requested her to source for organic Shea butter. Esthy didn't just do that, she decided to embark on a new mission; providing quality products produced by the indigenous people of the land. She created a dedicated team who is as passionate as she is to help her meet her professional goals. She traveled to meet the farmers and artisans who use traditional ways to produce non-toxic products. She prefinances their projects and source out for good buyers who believe in fair trade. A year later, Global Africa Trade and Investments (OTI) is born, and two years after its inception, the mother-company creates a subsidiary and introduces Organic Trade & Investments , an agribusiness export trading company with focus on promoting accessibility of organic and natural ingredients from Africa to the rest of the world. T his has been possible by combining technology with organic farming. In 2018, Organic Trade and Investments (OTI) is honored with the Best New Online Retailer of the year award at the Ghana maiden eCommerce Awards, while the owner-manager; Esthy, receives the Best Female eCommerce Entrepreneur of the year award , making her the first woman to be honored with this prize. With more than 100 articles on sale, Organic Trade & Investments is proud to be in partnership with 7 cooperatives and work with over 12,000 small-scale farmers and producers around Africa. Since 2018, the Company also increased its customer-base and now ships to over 40 destinations. Thanks to its professional support team and a well-designed marketing strategy plan, OTI has established representative offices in South Africa, Austria, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, India, and Saudi Arabia.
