Mission & Vision . Statements

Mission
Promoting the use of organic and natural products while supporting small scale farmers and producers who practice sustainable organic farming in Ghana to protect biodiversity and improve people’s livelihoods.

Vision
To encourage consumers to buy organically grown and produced products and to make choices that will improve their health, the lives of farmers and producers, and protect our environment. To serve as a reliable resource for commodity exchange between the farmer, producer and the consumer by combining agribusiness with technology.

Organic Trade and Investments (OTI)

WHO WE ARE

Organic Trade and Investments (OTI) is Ghana's first virtual agribusiness, eCommerce, and export trading company. Our aim is to promote small-scale growers and manufacturers from the great Continent; Africa. Unlike traditional companies, OTI does not have any farmland, has no physical office, and does not have its own factory facility. Coopetition and partnership are the paddles to building a sustainable business. We wholesale, export, and distribute certified gluten-free foods, non-GMO produce, and organic products handcrafted by the indigenous people of the land, using traditional methods. These products are purposefully processed and grown for the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industry.

We are more than aggregators of commodities. We are pacesetters, eager to change the face of Africa and the way we do business worldwide. We practice smart cultivation and production; meaning, we consume what we grow and process, and process only what is needed for immediate consumption.

WHY WE ARE HERE

“I believe that the many problems that our Continent is facing must be solved by Africans”. ~ Esthy Ama Asante, Founder and Managing Director of OTI.

The agriculture sector in Africa, and mostly in Ghana, is faced with many challenges. We, at Organic Trade and Investments (OTI), see these problems as opportunities. We have come to develop and implement a risk mitigation plan in order to eradicate the identified problems.

WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED

Since the inception of Organic Trade and Investments in 2017, we have come a long way and brought about spectacular change not only in the communities we have our operations but also made a huge impact in the agribusiness sector. From a small export trading company, OTI is successfully transitioning into becoming Africa's leading blockchain technology company; thanks to its innovative business model. Organic Trade and Investments is behind the success of many African micro-small medium enterprises that ventured into artisanal chocolate making and organic cosmetic products amid COVID-19.

OTI is the company that is spearheading the acceleration of the reintroduction of forgotten crops (such as fonio) into our daily diets, and promoting sustainability and equity within the export trading ecosystem. In partnership with our business partners; Grupo Inndar SRL; OTI made history by becoming the first Company from West Africa to have had the authorization to ship fonio flour to Uruguay and make this gluten-free superfood accessible to the region of Latin America.

HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT OTI

We just need you to respect the women and men who have chosen to cultivate their farms to make a decent living out of their proceeds for themselves, their families, and their communities. By purchasing their produce at a fair price, you are showing respect and appreciating their effort in feeding the world. Each time you purchase something from Organic Trade and Investments, you are assured that 10% of the sales goes into developing these communities and towards the certification of the products, and building the capacity of the producers and farmers.

There are more than 100 articles on sale, from organic unrefined fats and pure essential oil to spices, aromatic plants, gum copal, plant sweeteners, dyes, and insecticides. Our range of natural herbals and organic products is patronized by food processing, pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies worldwide. All herbs and crops are cultivated the traditional way (non-GMO) and are ideal for biomedical purposes, while our unrefined shea butter, natural cocoa butter, and African black soap are handcrafted by our mothers, aunties, sisters, and grandmothers from the Northern part of Ghana.

NEW PARTNERS & CUSTOMERS

Sphere on Spiral Stairs

Prince A., CEO Kumasi

I have been looking for unadulterated products for so long till I met OTI.

I have bought Aloe Vera from you (25kg).

I use a small quantity of aloe vera gel to get the results whiles I use to use a lot and still not get my results. I must say it’s very good unlike the ones available on the market that has been adulterated. My formulation is now stable.
Now I am confident going forward, especially now that am about opening our factory
